Donato Nardizzi

Master Donato Nardizzi 8th Degree started Taekwon-Do on 9th July 1977 in Putney, London. He was taught by Master Raymond Choy and graded by Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha up to the Blackbelt 4th Degree. From 4th to 6th Degree he trained with several Masters and Grand Masters including Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha, Master Park Jung Tae, Master Choi Jung Hwa but the main part of his development was made by training with the Taekwon-Do Founder Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi. As a 7th and 8th Degree Master he has regularly attended courses with the ITF Technical Committee and trained under Grand Master Tran, Grand Master Trajtenberg, Grand Master Morano, and Grand Master Bos.

Donato graduated with a BSC (Hons) Degree in Physics from Kings College, London University. He also has a Post Graduate Certificate of Education. He was a school teacher for 12 years teaching Science and Information Technology. He gave up his teaching job to dedicate his life to teaching and promoting Taekwon-Do.

He graded to Blackbelt 8th Degree in Thessaloniki, Greece under the ITF Technical Committee, Grand Master Tran, Grand Master Marano and Grand Master Bos. When he was promoted he was and probably still is the youngest ITF 8th Degree in the world.

For 10 years, mainly during the 90's, Master Nardizzi travelled all over the world to referee in major international competitions including the World Championships and European Championships. He is now retired from refereeing but he organises and oversees the competitions run by his own organisation, Taekwon-Do Impact.

Master Nardizzi founded Taekwon-Do Impact in 1996 and recently, he opened Impact Academy which is a large full time Taekwon-Do and fitness centre in the centre of Croydon, Surrey.

Master Nardizzi is currently the President of ITF England which is the National Association in England for all members, groups and associations affiliated to the ITF.

Master Nardizzi is also the Chairman of the ITF Children's Education Committee. He is the co-author of the study book and instructor manual of the Taekwon-Do Kids Development Programme which is the official kids programme for the ITF. The programme teaches foundational knowledge of Taekwon-Do to children as young as 3 years old.

Master Nardizzi was selected as an Olympic Torchbearer in the London Olympics 2012. He was nominated for the work he has done in Taekwon-Do Kids Development Program and promoting Taekwon-Do for children in the community.

Master Donato Nardizzi's goal in life is the same as the main aim of Taekwon-Do, which is to build a more peaceful world. His objective is to promote Taekwon-Do education for young children as a means to creating a better future for them and the people around them. He hopes the Taekwon-Do Kids Development Program will reach thousands worldwide. The programme develops a mind set which is conducive to harmonious living. This will prepare the children to be good citizens of the future.
